With expertise in collaboration, the applicant will work alongside other professionals to ensure comprehensive assessments are completed within specified standards. Their responsibilities include providing information, managing support packages, and making informed recommendations for the best course of action.

Additionally, the experienced social worker will participate in multidisciplinary teams, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for legal proceedings, ensuring that every client receives the highest level of care and support.

Responsibilities

  • conduct interviews with individuals and families to assess and review their situation
  • undertake and write up assessments (sometimes in collaboration with other professionals), which meet specified standards and timescales
  • offer information and support
  • organise and manage packages of support to enable people to lead the fullest lives possible
  • recommend and sometimes make decisions about the best course of action for a particular person or family
  • liaise with, and make referrals to, other agencies
  • participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings regarding, for example, child protection or mental health
  • maintain accurate records and prepare reports for legal action
  • give evidence in court
  • participate in training, supervision and team meetings.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or social work or a related field.
  • Proven experience in related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
