Responsibilities

Teaching Computing Concepts:

• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students on various computing concepts, including computer programming, algorithms, data structures, and software development methodologies.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Coding Instruction:

• Instruct students in coding languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others, depending on the curriculum requirements
• Guide students through the process of writing, debugging, and testing code to solve problems and develop applications.

Curriculum Development:

• Develop and update the computing curriculum to align with educational standards and industry best practices.
• Integrate coding projects, exercises, and real-world applications into the curriculum to enhance students' practical coding skills and problem-solving abilities.

Assessment and Feedback:

• Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their coding projects, helping them understand areas for improvement and ways to enhance their coding skills.

Classroom Management:

• Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and collaboration.
• Manage student behavior effectively and enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.

Professional Development:

• Stay informed about advancements in computing technologies, coding languages, and educational methodologies through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience handling a BECE class
• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others.
• Previous experience teaching computing or coding-related subjects is desirable.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring students to explore and excel in computing and coding.
